Q. How often should I have my aircraft serviced?
A. We recommend scheduling routine maintenance every 50 to 100 flight hours, depending on how often you fly and your specific aircraft. In addition, all aircraft are required to complete a thorough annual inspection once every 12 months.
Q. Are your technicians certified and experienced?
A. Absolutely. Our technicians are fully certified, highly trained, and bring years of hands-on experience to every aircraft we service. We strictly follow all industry regulations and best practices, so you can have complete confidence knowing your aircraft is in capable, professional hands.
Q. How long does an average annual inspection take?
A. The time required for an annual inspection can vary depending on the type of aircraft and how it’s been used throughout the year. In most cases, routine annual inspections take a few days to about a week. If additional maintenance or repairs are needed, the timeline may be longer.
Q. Do you offer emergency repair services?
A. Yes, we understand urgent situations can happen. If it’s safe, you can bring your aircraft to us and we’ll prioritize your repair. If you can’t come to us, give us a call and we’ll do our best to arrange on-site support or a prompt response.
Q. What happens if my aircraft is past annual?
A. If your aircraft is past its annual inspection, it is considered unairworthy and cannot be flown legally. Don’t worry—we can help guide you through the process of obtaining a Special Flight Permit (ferry permit) so your aircraft can be safely moved. We’ll complete the required inspection, assist with the paperwork, and help arrange the safe transfer of your aircraft to our shop, where we’ll take care of the annual inspection and get you back in the air.
Q. Should I get an oil analysis with my oil change?
A. We recommend it. Oil analysis is a valuable way to assess your engine’s condition and performance. It can detect microscopic signs of wear or contamination that aren’t visible to the naked eye, helping you catch potential issues early.
Q. Do you perform customer-assisted annual inspections?
A. Yes, by prior arrangement. We do allow customer-assisted inspections in certain cases; however, they are not our preferred method as they can disrupt workflow for our technicians. When approved, the customer must be experienced and able to safely remove panels and the cowling as required.
